Problems that SMEs face in Gujarat:
There is necessity to pressurize the Central Government for allocation
of Gas for industrial use in Gujarat. The State Government is taking
various initiatives to strengthen various industrial segments in
Gujarat. There is necessity to curb the interest rates for MSMEs charged
by the Commercial Banks.

Activities Undertaken by FSSI:
Established in 1956, FSSI is a service organization for the benefit of
Small Scale Industries. FSSI has come a long way in providing a platform

term problems, it has also endeavored to act as abridge between the
industry and the authorities. Over 54 years down the line, the federation
has tried every bit to come to the rescue of the small scale units
despite a general indifference from the authorities.
